You can browse the guide without an account.

Accounts

Signing in provides your email and basic identity from the provider you choose. We keep your account, linked sign-in identities and sessions so you can manage published reviews and Plot Points. Your password for Google, Apple or Facebook is never given to us.

Security records can include your IP address, browser details and sign-in attempts. Sign-in providers apply their own privacy policies. If you choose email sign-in, codes are delivered through Hostinger Mail.

Stories & points

Publishing a review makes its photo, visit date, ratings and review available through its public link. Your email is not included. Leaderboards display your chosen nickname only if you opt in. Booking evidence is available to you and the rewards editor.

Private journal drafts and saved places remain in your browser. Signing out does not erase them. You can remove published review links in My shared reviews.

Cookies & visit counting

Essential sign-in cookies keep your account secure. Optional visit counting uses a separate random browser identifier; its reports do not contain account details. You can turn it off in the guide’s Privacy & visit counting section.

Social conversations

If you interact with @fortheplotqa, our private Backstage workspace may store relevant messages, comments, tags, public profile details and interaction dates, together with internal follow-up notes and any permission you give us to repost content. These may be received through Meta or recorded from our account by an administrator. Browser captures are saved snapshots and may not reflect later changes on Instagram.

These records help us respond to enquiries, maintain venue relationships and manage content. They are restricted to the For the Plot administrator and are not published as reviews or added to public leaderboards automatically. Connecting a business social account is separate from signing in to the guide. To request access, correction or deletion of a social interaction record, contact hello@fortheplot.me and identify the account and interaction concerned.

Accounts, published reviews and points are stored to provide these features. You can sign out of all devices from Your account. To request account or data deletion, contact hello@fortheplot.me. We will verify account ownership before acting.
